Come and volunteer with us!

Only with the help of dedicated volunteers can we transform Maitreya into a thriving community project. To ensure our permaculture garden is flourishing and the retreat center is growing sustainably, we constantly evaluate our needs for helping hands depending on the expertise and our ongoing projects on the land. 

​

 

Sharing mutual values and goals with the people who support us is very important to us. We encourage self-responsibility and self-reflection and practice sharing circles in order to be able to communicate openly and transparently. At Maitreya we follow a non-harm approach that ensures we meet each other with compassion instead of judgement.

​

Volunteer Programs

All volunteer programs include:

​

  • Accommodation in a shared room. Camper vans are also welcome

  • Two vegan, healthy meals & snacks in the afternoon 

  • Daily morning check-in and start in the day

  • Weekly sessions like yoga, guided meditations and sharing circles 

  • Fun events like ecstatic dance, cacao ceremonies, jam-sessions 

  • High-speed Internet access in the main house

We also speak German & Spanish

Currently we offer three types of volunteer options:

 

Full-time volunteers

​

You are dedicated to contribute a full day of work and support us in different roles, you want to share your gift and are motivated to help us on all levels.

 

  • 5 hours of work per day, Monday - Saturday, Sundays off

  • No paid contribution, accommodation and food as energy exchange included

 

Part-time volunteers: 

 

Half day of work - half day enjoying our community life and focusing on your own journey. You like to take it easy on the workload​​

  • 4 hours of work per day, Monday - Saturday, Sundays off

  • Contribution 7 EUR per day or 175 €/ month (if staying for a full month), accommodation and food included

Laid-back volunteers: 

 

You would like to stay at Maitreya and bring an expertise to share but also working on your own projects whilst enjoying our community vibe.

 

  • 3 hours of work per day, Monday - Saturday, Sundays off  

  • Contribution of 11 EUR per day or 350 €/month (if staying for a full month), accommodation and food inclusive
